Baby Shower Gift Basket Containers
In this video Susan Paxton shares some interesting gift basket container ideas. She talks about even using a Kentucky Fried Chicken bucket as a gift basket at one point. She suggests that anything around the house can be used after decorating it up. So just do as she says and be creative.
Step 1 Baby Bath Basket
The nice thing about a bath themed baby gift basket is the large assortment of things that can go into it. For this type of gift basket a baby tub or a nice plastic container that can later be used to hold bath time items work great to put all the gifts into. Instead of using tissue paper or wrapping paper baby hooded towels or wash cloths can give it some background color. Simply spread the towel or wash cloths out over the edges of the container. For the bathing tub a towel works best and the wash cloths for a smaller container. A large center piece like a stuffed animal would look nice wearing a baby robe. Stuffed animals are great for any baby gift basket. The center piece should be lifted a little higher than the rest. This can be done by sitting it on top of underlayed wash cloths. Some nice fillers can be puppet wash cloths. These are adorable and great for making bath time fun. Shampoos, liquid baby soaps and lotions also work great for fillers or if the gift is smaller then they can be made into center pieces. http://www.happynews.com/living/baby/baby-gift-basket.htm
Step 2 Baby Tote Bag
One essential thing every new mom needs is a tote bag or diaper bag. These bags can come in many sizes and colors so pick the right size bag for the gift first. The right size depends on how much there is to go inside of it. A nice touch to the tote bag would be to personalize it with the baby’s name. This can also help the mom keep from confusing it with other bags if it’s a popular brand. http://www.homemade-gift-basket-ideas.com/homemade-baby-gift-baskets.html A few good things to go into the tote or diaper bag would be diapers, wipes, travel toys and hand sanitizers. To help keep the bag stable while it is setting at the gift table place a heavier gift, like diapers or wipes at the bottom. A baby blanket can make a nice replacement for tissue paper. To do this simply tuck the blanket into the bag, letting the corners drape over the side, and then place the wipes or diapers into the bag to hold it in place. A size appropriate stuffed animal would work well as center piece sticking out of the top. Place the other gifts in as fillers. Little travel toys, teething rings or rattles, will look nice tucked into a side pocket or around the center piece.
Step 3 Baby Hamper Gift
The over all theme of this gift set is baby clothes. For this theme a small laundry basket is used as the gift container. Blankets and bed sheets make great background color. Diapers or wipes would be nice to add to take up some space on the bottom and to prop up the theme gifts on top. Socks, baby sleepers, onesies, bibs and an array of other items can be added. Remember that because a baby is growing constantly different sizes should be placed into the basket to provide things for later. Link rings would make nice decorations for the outside of the basket if it has holes that they can be hung on. A baby hanger or two with an outfit on would make nice center pieces for this gift. A stuffed animal wearing a baby t-shirt would also look cute. If the sex of the baby is unknown then stick with the neutral colors. Baby shoes would also look good sitting on top as space fillers. Spreading an outfit or two over the basket rim can also improve the look. Sticking to the theme of the gift is not required. A nice collection of different themed gifts can look just as nice. http://www.surebaby.com/baby_gifts.php
